The Second Nature, 2026
Resin, flexible hose, screws, bolts
Dimensions variable
The Second Nature (2026), uses 3D-printed forms and flexible industrial hoses to create an artificial nature that belongs to neither the organic world nor factory production. Instead, it occupies the gap between the two—a space where a different kind of nature can grow. The hoses suggest veins or roots, while the printed structures mimic cellular growth, yet nothing is strictly biological. This is not imitation nor replacement, but a parallel condition: a second nature that emerges from the interval between the synthetic and the real, fragile and self-sustaining.
